Last Year, 2017, saw the resignation of some key female presenters from EIB including the likes Naa Ashorkor and AJ Sarpong, who moved to Multimedia and Citi FM respectively, and this year; the trend continues with the resignation of another key female presenter from the netowork.

Information reaching entertainmentgh.com indicates that news anchor for GhOne TV, Abena Owusu Nyamekye, has left the station!

She tendered her resignation letter to her employers on Monday, January 8, 2018, citing personal reasons for her decision to quit. As usual, Executives of the network are said to have tried to convince her to stay, but she stuck to her resolution to move on.

As per the rules of the Network, employees are to tender their resignation 1 months before its effect, so, Abena will no longer be on air by February 8, 2018!
Abena started her media stint in Accra with Starr 103.5 (then Power FM) after moving from Kumasi, where she worked with Kapital Radio and KFM respectively.

At EIB, Abena anchored the news at Starr 103.5FM before making a move to television where she handled the news on ‘GhOne News’. She was also used extensively as a sit-in for Nana Aba Anamoah for the political talk show program, ‘State of Affairs’.

Patrick Osei Agyemang affectional known as Countryman Songo would have to be behind the scenes regarding the Fire for Fire TV show after he took a swipe at Kwesi Nyantakyi on the show. It is understood that Songo has been on Kwesi Nyantakyi's neck for destroying Ghana football in the wake of delay in the start of the 2018 Ghana Premier League due to a High Court injunction placed on the league by Accra Gt. Olympics. Ebony who was returning from Sunyani after a visit and was involved in a car accident and died at the Bechem Government Hospital. According our reporter, the driver however survived and is receiving treatment. Reliable information available to us indicates Ebony was returning to Accra to make preparations for a trip to America.
